  1. Improving version control for researchers by including "date last updated" alongside series metadata

    Fixes and changes in definition, topic or code are helpfully described on the Helpdesk's Data Updates and Errata site, but this does not drill down by series to list the update history of the series, aside from definitional matters. When doing analysis, it is important to know as of what date a certain datapoint is. I also know the World Bank offers access to its WDI archives, yet this is not compatible with the more dynamic handling of data through the downloading of individual series through excel, or via the World Bank's API and its Stata or R modules.     • Add csv output support to API

      The API currently can output in JSON and xml. I propose adding csv.

      • Do you have data on credit (domestic and non-domestic) extended to the private sector (excluding households and the financial sector)?

        Do you have data on credit (domestic and non-domestic) extended to the private sector (excluding households and the financial sector)?

        What I am looking for is data related to (1) debt held by all private firms, small and large, and (2) debt held by all companies listed in stock exchanges.
