Dear Sir/Madam, the links on the site regarding "Open Data Training Modules" don´t seem to be working. It would be great if you could make those resources available again!

Thank you for your message. We are aware of the issue. Our open data site was recently updated and we are working on a new set of training materials.
In the meantime you can also refer to the open data toolkit, which includes materials for users and organizations looking to create and use open data on their own. It available is online at: http://opendatatoolkit.worldbank.org.
Please provide your data through an SDMX web service. Thanks.1 vote
Thank you for your message.
The SDMX download option is enabled for all the DataBank databases (Download Options/Advanced Options/SDMX).
Kindly note that only the World Development Indicators database has an additional SDMX type (compact).

Please also find below a few API sample calls for SDMX.

Basic Data calls for SDMX structure
Single indicator and country sample call
it has come to my attention that your website when you define a callback with a capital letter after the "prefix" parameter the API is failing to return the callback name requested, and is instead returning it in all lowercase. Here is a description of the bug.3 votes
Thank you for your message. The issue has been resolved.

There's an Excel link to the right above the table. Could you set it up so we can see the url for the Excel file and read it straight in?1 vote

This new website is not friendly with low-speed connection.1 vote
Thank you for your message and we apologize for the inconvenience.
We have worked to address the issue and the new data site should now be performing better:
The World Bank often describes its open data program as "data about what we know" and "data about what we do." In other words, development/research data and operations data. I think it would be helpful if the data catalog was organized this way, so that users interested in just one kind of data can filter out the other kind. Can there be two "Refine By" categories on the left side for "Data about what we know" and "Data about what we do?"4 votes
Thank you for your message. The “Refine By” filter option available on the Data Catalog (http://datacatalog.worldbank.org/) page allows users to select the Topic “World Bank Group Projects & Finances”. This option selects the databases which provide information about the World Bank operations and finances.

Selected indicators on gross capital formation and gross fixed capital formation (total and by the private sector) based on national accounts data are available via the World Development Indicators. You can also explore the data on investment in non-financial assets which is presented in the IMF Government Finance Statistics database.
