The World Bank does not have a list of emerging markets. The Emerging Markets database developed by the IFC was sold to Standard & Poor's a few years ago and can be found on Standard & Poor's website.

The World Bank classifies economies based on their GNI per capita (computed using the “Atlas” method). Use of this classification system does not imply a judgment concerning the development status of any country or territory. For more information please consult “How we classify economies”.
