Transportation in Landlocked Countries
We received this feedback at the Data Help Desk from a World Bank Data user. We're posting it here for discussion:
I am a citizen of Bolivia, a landlocked country with high transport costs
and a lot of limitations that hinder us to trade with other countries.
There are other countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and South America in the
same situation. We all have similar difficulties and can learn of our
mutual experiences.
The reason of this request is to encourage you to include in all INDICATORS
of the World Bank a category of LANDLOCKED COUNTRIES. I find, that would
allow all users a better use of the available databases and would help us
very much in our analyses and considerations for further politics. That
would help to give visibility to this country group.
Thank you for your suggestion. While we do not currently publish this aggregate, you can explore the data provided by the UN-OHRLLS for landlocked developing countries:

We will consider including this aggregate in World Development Indicators database in the future.
